Fantastic film by Newsnight's Paul Mason (a former colleague of mine on Computer Weekly) on changing economic models.
It is well worth watching and having a think about the implications. The film challenges how we have done things and how we could do them in the future.
Lots in it to think about. I loved the line about making things is good - which is the whole reason we need apprenticeships!
On a personal level I like the idea of 'enough' profit. Rather than maximising margins we should be optimising business to provide enough. It is this notion of optimising - borrowed from nature - that could define a different type of workplace - one that is more engaged with the production process, the customer, the owner. And one that provides a different kind of reward culture.
