Hmmm, still thinking about this. But here is a great post on Mashable about how to create a great social media CV. I think many people - and especially journalists - shy away from promoting themselves, their skills and experience online. And I guess these are the people who are not that active online and who might not want to promote themselves. Or do they have something to hide?
But, with the media industry changing where is such an approach going to get you? Not far.
What I like about the steps listed on Mashable is that they are all about sharing, using networks and having a prescence and having something to say. In short, PR and marketing - not journalism!
It is time to be found and shared. And yes, I need to do what i say here.
